The name of the park, founded in 1906, comes from the charming Norwegian Pavilion (from 1909), modeled on a famous restaurant in Oslo. Under a picturesque willow tree, next to the bridge, there is a large granite boulder commemorating the meeting of Wincenty Pol, Kornel Ujejski and Purkyni (Czech naturalist). The pavilion houses the Natural History Museum.
